I’m Jane — a single mom, a student, and a woman learning to trust God in the middle of real life. Heart & Pen by Jane was born in the quiet spaces between homework and bedtime stories, in the moments when I finally exhaled and realized I wasn’t the only mother trying to hold everything together while feeling like I was falling apart.

I write from the middle, not the finish line. My life isn’t polished or perfect, and I don’t pretend it is. Most days I’m figuring things out as I go — motherhood, faith, healing, becoming. But I’ve learned that God meets me right here, in the mess and the stretching and the becoming, and that’s the story I want to tell.

This space is my journal — a place where I share the real, unfiltered pieces of my days: the exhaustion, the joy, the guilt, the grace, the moments that break me open and the ones that stitch me back together. I’m not here to give advice or offer steps or solutions. I’m here to tell the truth about my own journey so another woman can breathe and think, “Oh… it’s not just me.”

I’m also an aspiring author, slowly growing into the courage to share my words with the world. I’ve written a book and I’m walking toward publication, one small step at a time. This site holds that part of me too — the creative side, the dreaming side, the part of me that believes stories can heal and connect us.

My hope is that Heart & Pen becomes a soft landing place for women — especially mothers and women of faith — who are tired, hopeful, overwhelmed, healing, becoming. A place where you feel seen, understood, and never alone. A place where honesty is welcome, where faith feels gentle, and where our stories remind us that God is in the details of our everyday lives.
